Toilet Paper Times: Coffee could cancel cancer

The cup of coffee, a daily jolt many Americans drink daily. There may be a new perk to pouring the percolator... A recent study out of the journal of Cancer Research found that drinking caffeinated coffee can prevent skin cancer. The study found that most of the nearly 113,000 participants had a lower risk of developing Basal Cell Carcinoma. Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is abnormal red lesions that appear on the external skin. BCCs are the most common form of cancer, nearly 2.8 million cases are diagnosed in the USA every year, according to SkinCancer.org. In an article with ABC news study author Jiali Han says "I wouldn't recommend drinking coffee solely based on this work, but it does add one more thing to the list." Also in the study, people who drank decaffeinated coffee did not not show a lower risk of developing skin cancer.
